Relational Horsemanship & Godmanship

We believe that Relational Horsemanship is just a reflection of God's heart for us. Relational Horsemanship is built on earning a horses trust to build a Friendship with it and on earning the horse respect so that we can be given Leadership. These two keys are what lead to a ever growing Partnership.

We earn a horses trust by loving on them and meeting their needs, showing them they have a safe haven and a safe herd partner. We bond with them through time and patience. We groom and clean them, take care of any wounds and heal their hurts.

We earn the horses respect by playing the same games that they play with one another. Moving each other around through body language and confidence. The lead or Alpha horse of the herd shows that he/she is the best leader by having the most confidence and the best plan for survival.

We grow the partnership with them through spending time together and ongoing communication and help the horse see that they are capable of more than they realize they are. We ask the horse to chose us as their herd partner and herd leader. We don't force it. We invite. We work to pull out their personality, their hidden gifts and talents. Some may be great jumpers, some barrel racers, some reiners, and some heart healers to the hurting. We help them to grow and reach their potential and partner with them to create something beautiful and full of grace.

In the same way God pursues us because He loves us and wants to earn our trust. He constantly wants to show us love. He wants to meet our needs both external but even

more importantly internally. He was to keep us safe and bond with us. He wants to clean us of any sin and care for all of our wounds and heal our hurts. He also is far wiser and absolutely has the best plan for our survival.

He constantly seeks a partnership with us. He aks us to chose him. He never forces. He invites. His heart is to keep us safe and lead us. He wants to pull out our hidden gifts and talents. He wants to help us grow and live and reach our fullest potential. God's heart is to partner with us to create something beautiful and full of grace.
